MRS UNIVERSE MALAYSIA 2019 & MRS ELITE MALAYSIA 2019

The Mrs. Malaysia Universe and Mrs. Elite Malaysia Universe grand final were organized by VConnect Business Club, Yinzi Event & Marketing and franchise holder ERM Marketing, represented by their chairpersons Ms. Ivlyn Tan, Madam Lim Siew Cheng and Mr. Sean Chia respectfully for the evening.

The event was held at the grand ballroom of Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel on Sunday evening, the 27th of October 2019. It was sponsored by Glamogenic Australia and supported by WorldQuest International. Mrs. Malaysia Universe is a competition for ladies of ages between 25 to 40, and Mrs. Elite Malaysia Universe is open for contestants 41 to 65 years of age.

More than six hundred guests were present, including dignitaries such as Datuk Seri Michael Chong. Besides the entertaining introductions from the contestants, audiences were treated to several notable performances, including special dances, and talent show by contestants.

Special awards were given out for the three ambassadors of the event, Datuk Hajjah Rozzana Binti Dato' Haji Rahmat, Ms. Ferrari Ong and Ms. May Piong. Aside from being a platform to inspire friendships, tourism & commerce, it is also a celebration of womanhood and a call to end injustice towards women worldwide.

Ms. Ivlyn Tan of VConnect Business Club reiterated the purpose of the event, “True to our objectives, of proclaiming once more our stand against violence on women, you will not only see some of the most beautiful women of Malaysia, but also some of the most intelligent and courageous. We celebrate the whole diversity of race and richness in spirit they represent tonight.”

Sophia Mohd. Noor was crowned Mrs. Malaysia Universe 2019. She will represent Malaysia at Guangzhou City, China, vying for the Mrs. Universe title in December 2019. Yvonne Chong Ngai Mun will represent Malaysia at Bulgaria in January 2020 as Mrs. Elite Malaysia Universe 2019.

Notably, Mrs. Malaysia Universe 2019 is the first for the competition to include Malaysian Malay contestants. As such, Sophia Mohd. Noor will leave a mark in history as the first ever Malaysian Malay representation in the Mrs. Universe international pageant.
